We recently organized a special day for Scarlett Johansson to spend some quality time with a shelter dog named Ocean. Scarlett, a passionate animal lover, eagerly embraced the opportunity to pamper Ocean and help her find a loving forever home. Ocean, a 12-year-old pittie mix rescued by Muddy Paws Rescue in NYC, quickly formed a bond with Scarlett during their day together. The duo enjoyed a relaxing spa day, which included a dog-friendly smoothie, a pedicure, and plenty of cuddles.
The blind date with Ocean was off to a great start thanks to Scarlett’s thoughtful gesture of bringing a stuffie bouquet of red roses. Ocean eagerly took the bouquet and ended up adoring it so much that she ended up destroying it in her excitement. Reflecting on the date, Scarlett mentioned to The Dodo that things were going smoothly with Ocean. Initially, they both felt a bit shy and nervous to meet each other, but Ocean quickly warmed up to Scarlett. They are now in the process of getting to know each other better.
In our exciting new series, Dream Date, we are matching celebrities with rescue dogs in hopes of finding them their forever families. In the debut episode, Antoni Porowski of “Queer Eye” whipped up a scrumptious meal for a charming pittie named Clementine, who was quickly adopted after the date. Scarlett was optimistic that she could work the same magic with Ocean. “I have a feeling you won’t be single for long,” she remarked as Ocean showered her with kisses and playful wiggles.
Scarlett has adopted two dogs named Maggie and Pancake in the past. The meeting happened at Scarlett’s skincare brand, The Outset’s office, where Ocean had the chance to test out some moisturizing products made specifically for dogs. Scarlett mentioned to Ocean that everyone at The Outset office was thrilled to meet him, calling him a star.
Scarlett attempted to spoil Ocean with a spa-like treatment involving cucumber slices on the eyes, but Ocean had different plans for the cucumbers. As the date progressed, it was evident that there was a strong connection between them, leaving Scarlett puzzled as to why Ocean was still unattached.
Scarlett assured Ocean that they would have no trouble finding a loving forever home because of their exceptional cuteness and cuddly nature, which is exactly what everyone is looking for. True to Scarlett’s words, Ocean found their perfect match and was adopted shortly after their meeting.
