Despite collaborating with Bennett on the project, the iconic 95-year-old musician was not present as he recently retired after an impressive eight-decade career.
The jazz album includes 12 tracks of classic covers, some written by Cole Porter for Frank Sinatra and Broadway hits.
Both Gaga and Bennett have two solo songs on the album, and trumpet player Brian Newman also makes an appearance.
The duo initially bonded almost ten years ago when Bennett saw Gaga sing “Orange Colored Sky” by Nat King Cole at a charity function.
Incredible: Gaga and Bennett each contribute two solo tracks to the album, with the added bonus of trumpet player Brian Newman joining them on the record, just like he did during the live performance.
Exciting: The Academy Award winner delivered an unforgettable performance. They collaborated on the album Cheek to Cheek in 2014 and later worked together on Love For Sale. In February, Bennett’s family announced his Alzheimer’s diagnosis, with his wife Susan Crow sharing with AARP magazine that his symptoms began in 2016 and worsened two years later. “He may not be the same Tony as before, but when he sings, he transforms,” she expressed about his ability to charm audiences despite his condition. “The fact that Tony sees me as a natural jazz singer still amazes me,” Gaga added.
